Chemistry 10/09/2023 We hope everyone had a great fall break! We spent today getting everyone caught up with missing/late assignments due to illnesses and vacations around fall break. 10/11/2023 Today we began studying electrons, protons, and neutrons. 10/13/2023 Today we talked about the atomic number of elements and how that relates to the number of protons and electrons. Life Science 10/09/2023 We hope everyone had a great fall break! We spent today getting everyone caught up with missing/late assignments due to illnesses and vacations around fall break. 10/11/2023 Today we worked on the Enrichment: Classifiying Life. We will go over it in detail in class tomorrow since several were srtuggling a bit. 10/13/2023 Today we completed the Classifying Life activity. We spent extra time learning how to perform some algebraic operations to calculate the amount of beetle populations vs. to tatal insect poiplulations. Earth Science 10/09/2023 We hope that everyone had a great fall break! Today we began discussing the Hydrosphere. The eText:The Hydrosphere is due October 13 at the start of class. 10/11/2023 We completed the water cycle interactivity and and started the Siting a Fish Farm activity. The fishfarm activity is due at start of class tiomorrow and the eText:The Hydrosphsere is due at start of class Friday. 10/13/2023 Today we covered the 'Siting a Fish Farm' interactivity in class. Physical Science 10/09/2023 We hope everyone had a great fall break! Today, we covered the Section 1.2 review and tomorrow we will be doing the study Kahoot as preparation for the quiz on Wednesday. 10/11/2023 Today we spent extra time reviewing density calculations and calculatiing weights at different gravities. We will repeat the study Kahoot tomorrow and anticipate the quiz on Friday. Some formulas for the students to remember: Density = Mass/Volume Mass = Density * Volume Volume = Mass/Density 10/11/2023 Today we took the quiz on measuring matter. Biology and Health 10/09/2023 We hope everyone had a great fall break! Today we wrapped up lecture on Section 1.2. The Interactivity: The Process of Science Engineering and Design was assigned for completion tomorrow. 10/11/2023 Today we reviewed the Interactivity: The Processes of Science and Engineering Design in class. We will be working on designing a solar still over the next few days. 10/11/2023 Today we reviewed the Health homework assignment 'Family Involvement: Evaluating Health Risks.' The Section 2 review was assigned and is due next Wednesday October 18. The Section 2 quiz will be Friday, October 20. Physics 10/09/2023 Today we covered displacement, distance and scalar and vector quantitites. The eText: Displacement and Velocity and Lab Background: Motion Plots were assigned. 10/11/2023 Today we worked on vector mathematics using a cordinate system and Pythagorean's theorem for a right triangle, and the head-to-tail method for adding multiple vectors. 10/13/2023 Today we covered adding two vectors to determine the magnitude of the displacement. Computer/Microsoft Office 10/10/2023 Today we started on Section 2. 10/12/2023 We worked on the practice activity for Lesson 2. |
