 The 2013-2014 school year begins on Tuesday. A local church prayed over area schools today for God's guidance for the students, parents and teachers during this upcoming school year. What a wonderful idea!

The floors are waxed, windows washed and desks are ready for students. Are you ready yet? It isn't too late to consider Faith Christian Academy. Yes, we are that school, the one in the mall- just down the concourse from the library in the mall. Some people have a hard time wrapping their mind around that concept but what happens each day in the classrooms is what matters most. Where we are isn't nearly so important as who is emphasized throughout our curriculum. We may not be for everybody but we're here for you! Jesus used the parable of the mustard seed in Matthew 17:19-21 to emphasize the comparison of the small size of the deposit of faith needed to elicit a change in circumstances when praying to God.
Building a new school is not for the faint of heart- or faith. In these economic and militant secular political times, it certainly isn't easy. Deep down, you know it is necessary. If you don't have children, or you are one of our Facebook friends in other cities and states, we have reserved the most important role for you. Prayer. There is no more important capital for a Christian school than the lifting up of prayer. We ask for, and appreciate, yours! If you have children, lets discuss what you will not find at Faith Christian Academy. If you are looking for athletics, you won't find that here. If you are looking for road trips on chartered buses, look elsewhere. If you want big buildings with big rooms and big gymnasiums and big playgrounds, you have lots of other places to look. If you are looking for big organizations bulging with warm bodies; nope, not here. What you will find at Faith Christian Academy is the hard work of educating children where God is welcome in the classroom every day, one day at a time. We expect much of our students spiritually, academically and behaviorally. Some learn faster than others but all are valued, all are loved. All get that something extra that isn't allowed in the public schools and gets lost in the shuffle at larger ones. Together as a school, as a staff, as parents, we have faith in God every day that He will provide (see our school name). Some parents are afraid to take that step of faith with small schools while others see that mustard seed. It might prove enlightening and encouraging to you to carefully re-examine the specific reasons that prompted you to make this critical choice for your child and why today you are reaping the benefits of a Christian school. Your first response to the question of “why?” my child attends a Christian school may go something like this: “I enrolled my child in a Christian school to obtain a Christian education in a morally, spiritually, and physically safe environment.” However, this answer is probably an over-simplification of your decision to capitalize on the values of a Christian school.
